A BOLA – Sport is the National Youth Championship (Football)

Sporting were crowned national youth champions after beating SC Braga 2-0 on Wednesday with two games to go.

In the 21st minute, the Lions took the lead through Gilhem Santos.

Even before half-time, Sporting had the smell of a second goal. Manuel Mendonza delivered a powerful shot that only came to a stop over Renato Amorim’s goal cross.

The Young Lions’ advantage remained in the second half, with Vivaldo Semedo scoring the second for the greens and Whites in the 54th minute.

Final whistle: Sports won (2-0) and was the National Youth Champion.

90′: 6 minutes extra time.

87th minute: The Lions move. Afonso Moreira and Rodrigo Dias left José Silva and Henrique Arreiol’s entry.

86′: Pedro Sanka (Sports) gets a yellow card.

82′: Alfonso Moreira almost scores the third goal for Sporting. The ball goes past Renato Amorim.

77′: Double switch for the Lions. The goalscorers left (Vivaldo Semedo and Guilherme Santos) and entered Manuel Kissonga and Micael Sanhá.

47′: Vivaldo Semedo (Sporting) puts the ball behind SC Braga’s net but the bid is ruled out for offside.

21′: Sports scores! Guilherme Santos helped the Lions forward with a shot from outside the box, but one of Braga’s players still deflected.
