Brazilian DJ duo Dubdogz collaborates with DUX to create space in virtual world The Sandbox

This start up Brazilian DJs from Web3 DUX have teamed up with Brazilian DJ duo Dubdogz to bring them to The Sandbox (SAND) in Metaverse, making brothers Marcos and Lucas Ruback Schmidt the first in the music field to parallelize in a decentralized virtual environment Professional Brazilian artist based on blockchain technology.

With a five-year career, today Dubdogz is one of the leading references in electronic music produced in Brazil, performing at the biggest festivals in the country and in the world, such as Rio Rock, Lollapalooza, Tomorrowland, Só Track Boa and XXX experience. As the brothers highlighted in the press release, the program offers fans a new way to connect with the duo while potentially expanding Dubdogz’s production:

Dubdogz’s space in The Sandbox includes a giant stage built next to the beach, along with a swimming pool and other attractions for electronic music fans to enjoy a unique experience. There’s also an underground space, Luiz Octávio revealed, with more attractions being developed by the duo and their partners:

“We know the beauty of the Metaverse is not only in facilitating social experiences, but also in gamification. We wanted to bring something unique to Dubdogz fans where they can not only enjoy the atmosphere of a live performance and interact with their favorite DJs, There’s also Easter egg hunts, quests, secret passages, challenges and mini-games. As for the first update, we’re going to insert a cyberpunk basement where players can fight with swords and shields, set to Dubdogz soundtrack.”

The partnership between Dubdogz and Dux comes against the backdrop of a global trend of joint gaming and pop music that is gaining popularity among the great Brazilian artists. DJ Alok has the most used avatar in the history of Latin America’s favorite mobile game, Free Fire. Recently, rapper Emicida performed in Fortnite. Phenomenon Anitta has just announced a partnership with Free Fire to create her avatar in the game environment, in addition to developing other exclusive events for her fans in the virtual environment.

As recently reported by Cointelegraph Brasil, Brazil ranked second in a recent ranking of global NFT adoption rates published by data monitoring platform Statista. The company’s survey shows that 5 million Brazilians own at least one type of NFT.
