Check out the new trailer posted below, as well as a ton of new info via the PS Blog.

The team at Frontier Developments is very excited to develop a championship title for this growing sport. A new generation of drivers, exciting stories and exciting track action are taking F1 to new heights, and we’re excited to give everyone the opportunity to step into this exciting world of racing.

More and more people are interested not only in F1 cars and drivers, but in the entire team and the incredible performance we see on the track. Using Frontier’s expertise to create a deep, differentiated and rewarding management experience, we’ll show players everything it takes to lead a successful builder, then deliver the keys to being a team leader.

Whether you’re developing a racing strategy for your drivers, using your budget to expand your facility and develop your cars, or exploring a real-world database of drivers and staff to recruit new talent, the fate of your team is entirely up to you.

As you can see, there are a lot of elements in F1 Manager 2022 to suit your needs – so many that they don’t even fit in one article! Now, we’ll explain a little more about the role you’ll play during the race weekend. As team principal, in addition to spending a lot of time dealing with things outside the track, you’ll be in control of every element within the F1 circuit – all in a true broadcast experience that lets you watch the drama from every angle…

Take action

Every F1 race weekend begins with a practice session that starts on Friday. Track time is invaluable for teams and especially drivers for weekend preparation. Just like in real sports, every time your car is on the track in F1 Manager 2022, you’ll have a chance to collect data and turn things around.

During three training sessions, evaluate your car’s performance, improve your driver’s familiarity with the track and any new parts you install, and get feedback on your car’s setup. Since your team will also have a spare driver’s seat, you’ll be able to get that driver into one of the cars for practice, helping to improve their performance.

The art of the fastest lap

Here, the competition is more intense. Qualifying in F1 defines the grid, and any missteps could seriously disrupt your best ideal strategy for Sunday. The purpose of qualifying is to give drivers the best chance of recording the fastest times – easier said than done…

With 9 teams competing to avoid being eliminated, your task will be to make sure your car is on track at the right time. Once you’ve selected your tires and fuel load, you’ll have to watch the race’s timer and assess the traffic, grip levels and even weather conditions on the track so you’re not affected by unexpected events. If you can do all that and your drivers are confident in training then you have a good chance of qualifying in a good position.

Game Day: Strategies for Success

A good result in qualifying showed good preparation for Sunday’s race, but that’s not all. Use the data and knowledge you gain to develop race strategies for drivers, including pit stops, tire selection, and even how hard each leg is working.

Throughout all the action on the F1 Manager 2022 track, you’ll receive a wealth of information and options to keep track of everything that’s happening in real broadcast style. Switch between each car’s onboard and track cameras, watch all live hours, keep an eye on track conditions and more to help guide your team to the finish line. Race engineers are required to provide drivers with specific instructions, such as ease of use of the tires, not going over the curb and avoiding racing with teammates. Many real-world drivers and engineers have real audio calls in F1 Manager 2022 that you hear as the action unfolds.

Your game strategy can be adjusted at any time – this is critical because every game can bring unforeseen events that your team bosses have to react to. From sudden downpours to safety car-triggering crashes, reliability issues and even race-stop red flags, you need to know how to adjust your approach quickly. Take care of it all, and with all the options we’ve just started describing here, maybe you’ll be able to finish the race with your riders celebrating on the podium.

All decisions made in F1 Manager 2022

Drawing a path to glory on race weekends is just the beginning of your role as team boss in F1 Manager 2022. Between races, you’ll be responsible for expanding the team’s GQ, developing new auto parts, keeping the team motivated, finding and hiring great talent, keeping the board happy, and more.
