HP EliteBook 840 Aero G8 review

The title of this article does not leave much room for doubt, this article is devoted to the analysis of excellent Elitebook 840 Aero G8A new ultrabook life value. HP has managed to make a real device High qualitywith elegant design, surprising performance and above all efficiency.

And when I say it has amazing performance, that’s because it has everything the vast majority of users need. It comes with an Intel Core i7-1165G7, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, Intel Iris Xe graphics, and a beautiful 14-inch FullHD IPS display.

In terms of workmanship, this Elitebook 840 is a silver aluminum laptop that comes out of the box. Aside from being a very thin and light device, HP hasn’t left out something very important, namely connectivity. We have a total of 4 USB ports, 2 Type-A and 2 Type-C. The speeds of these Type-C ports are similar to Thunderbolt 3, which is up to 40Gbps.

There’s also a full-size HDMI 1.4b video port and a 3.5mm headphone port. Additionally, we have a 4G SIM card slot and a “round” power port.

It has a beautiful 14-inch IPS screen and full HD resolution, which impresses me. It is capable of reproducing images of true high quality, which together with its sound system “creates” Bang & Olufsenwe managed to get a great multimedia experience.

The side bezels are very thin, but the top and bottom bezels are a bit larger.

The HP EliteBook 840 Aero G8 has an island-style chocolate keyboard, which I can say I love. In addition to being comfortable and accurate, it’s one of the quietest keyboards I’ve tried on a laptop, which makes a difference for someone who has to type for hours a day. It’s a very shallow keyboard, which is increasingly common among ultrabooks, but luckily HP didn’t take it to the extreme as it didn’t compromise its comfort.

Regarding the trackpad, it’s really big and makes the most of all the space on the deck. It uses Microsoft Precision drivers, is very smooth, has no noise, and has a satisfying click.

If all of the above doesn’t make this laptop really interesting, know that its performance is the best we’ve ever had in this range.processor Intel Core i7-1165G716GB RAM and graphics Intel Iris Xe.

When I tested the EliteBook 840 Aero G8, I used it for everything a PC needs, including work and play. As you can imagine, a lot of my work is done with several browsers open and working at the same time, including social networking, email, and a few other tools, all running at the same time. And I never felt a lack of performance. Everything went very smoothly and was done very quickly.

I’m not a big fan of PC gaming, but I had to experience the performance of this Intel Iris Xe, so I decided to install Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. To my surprise, it ran the game. Sure, someone noticed this wasn’t a gaming laptop, but the games ran.

Its SSD is 512GB, and being an SSD, it’s not lacking in speed as it’s light years ahead of the usual HDD.

The battery life puts me on a bit of a back foot. Checking this laptop’s screen, there’s hardware inside, I didn’t expect a big miracle. However, it has managed to surprise me so far. In terms of autonomy, it’s not the best laptop in my hands, but I can assure you that I can go 6 hours straight without a charger in sight. very good? For me, I think it’s a really tweaked value, 7 hours of work, 7 hours of screen time, despite being less demanding in terms of processing.
HP says this EliteBook 840 Aero G8 can play 14.5 hours of video autonomously, which I believe is possible…but in offline mode.

Final Verdict HP EliteBook 840 Aero G8

I’ll admit I didn’t have high expectations for this laptop. Despite the great specs, I thought it was just another laptop, but I was wrong, and HP had a very positive surprise for me.

As you may have noticed throughout the review, I don’t have any major negative points to point out. I can complain about the graphics card, but I don’t think anyone is going to buy a 14″ laptop for gaming, or at least they shouldn’t, and this HP EliteBook 840 Aero G8 certainly wasn’t designed for that, so I couldn’t even at that point pick it up.

at the beginning of everything

Perhaps the only thing I can say is the lack of a Thunderbolt 3 port, which I miss in some cases, and the noise from the fan at times.

Regarding your operating system, it comes with Windows 10 Pro, works perfectly on this machine. Upgrading to Windows 11 is completely free, but I didn’t do it because the laptop doesn’t belong to me.

Otherwise, from its design, finish, processor, memory, disk, and screen, it’s a great laptop that will never let you down, no matter the circumstances.

So my notes for this laptop are:
