F1 2022, developed by Codemasters, is less than a month away from its release, and expectations are high for the game’s arrival.
In anticipation of some of those expectations, more was revealed about F1 2022’s “new” gameplay.
Already on July 1st, Electronic Arts' new game in the F1 series came out and was developed by the inevitable Codemasters.
F1 2022 (see here or here) proved to be an ambitious project, and now it has received new announcements from Codemasters and Electronic Arts, revealing a trailer showing off the game's new features.
F1 2022 has created strong expectations and the countdown has begun. Don't forget the game is scheduled to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on July 1.
"F1 22 lets players live out their Formula 1 fantasies on and off the track", said Lee Mather, Senior Creative Director, Codemasters F1."With new cars, rules and more control over race day time, players are excited to enter a new era in Formula 1. F1 22 allows players to socialize more with friends away from the track. Custom spaces in F1 Life allow players to showcase their collection of must-see cars and accessories to the envy of friends and competitors."
Among the expected novelties, one can expect to include the Miami Grand Prix, as we have a chance to see here. A rookie North American circuit built specifically for racing will appear in F1 2022, which is certainly one of the good news players will want to explore.
The car's aerodynamics have also been improved to accommodate the new aerodynamic rules, with Codemasters revealing that the suspension has also been fine-tuned. In addition, the behavior of the wheels on the ground, weather conditions and driving styles have also been modified. It's a game about trying to keep up with real-life tire technology.
Players will be able to experience F1 Sprints and immersive race day moments such as formation laps, safety car moments and pit stops. On the other hand, the Pirelli Hot Lap with eight supercars adds a new dimension before the track heats up this season.
Also of note is the AI adaptive system implemented by F1 2022, which will help players get into the shoes of their virtual drivers. The system adjusts the gaming experience to the player's skill level, creating competitive matches that match their skills. On the other hand, practice routines have been improved, encouraging players to better understand circuits and learn to master them.
F1 Life is a new social hub that allows players to showcase their collection of supercars, accessories, gear and trophies. In-game character customization goes beyond the track, with players collecting branded clothing and accessories through in-game challenges, the Podium Pass, the branded store, and the in-game store. Once in the game, players start with their personal hub, which doubles as a multiplayer lobby, allowing access to their friends' avatars and collections.
F1 2022 Champions Edition players will also get new My Team Icons, Jacques Villeneuve, Mark Webber and Nico Hülkenberg, as well as two drivable safety cars: Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series and Aston Martin Vantage for time trials.
Thanks to match day immersive and broadcast modes, players will be able to get a more original or cinematic match experience, whether they want all the details and effort related, or those who prefer a cinematic experience.
Returning in F1 2022, Career Mode will also have the potential to create our domination of Formula 1 in 10 years, with a two-player feature.
Also notable is the inclusion of VR for PC players and multiplayer, including offline split screen.
F1 2022 will be released on July 1, 2022, just in time for the FORMULA 1 Lenovo British Grand Prix 2022, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. However, players can pre-order the F1 2022 Champions Edition for more content and three-day early access.
