The Galaxy A23 is a Samsung phone that offers advanced tech features at an affordable price: 1,449 reais, down more than 550 reais from launch. The successor to the Galaxy A22 went on sale in March with four cameras, a 5,000 mAh battery, up to two days of autonomy and a screen with a 90 Hz refresh rate. This model supports 128 GB storage and memory cards. See all the information about the A23 in the following lines. This model is available in blue, white, pink and black.

screen and design

The Galaxy A23 has a 6.6-inch screen, which is slightly larger than the previous generation. The panel displays images at Full HD+ resolution (1600 x 720 pixels) and uses a TFT display, a variant of LCD. This technology tends to consume more battery than other types of phone panels such as OLED or Super AMOLED. This is because the backlight is always on, which is a feature of this component.

Regarding the design, the smartphone opted to keep the notch on the front to accommodate the selfie camera, in addition to keeping the side of the device for the fingerprint reader – well-known biometric technology, important for user security. On the back, the phone displays the photo collection in a square in the upper-right corner.

The entire bar structure of the smartphone has a plastic finish. The Korean manufacturer brings three different color options to the market: blue, white and black.

A23 camera

The photographic arrangement of the Galaxy A23 includes four lenses for photos. The main one offers 50 MP and f/1.8 aperture. Meanwhile, the ultra-wide-angle lens responsible for capturing images at a wider angle has 5 MP and an f/2.2 aperture compared to other lenses.

The macro and depth cameras have 2 MP and f/2.4 aperture. Since the former records details in close-up images up to 5 cm away, the latter offers portrait mode with a blurred image background.

Therefore, the four cameras are divided into: main camera 50 MP (f/1.8); ultra-wide-angle camera 5 MP (f/2.2); 2 MP macro camera (f/2.4); 2 MP telephoto camera (f/2.4).

The selfie camera, in turn, retains an 8 MP sensor and f/2.2 aperture. On the video side, the rear camera records Full HD at 30 fps (frames per second).

performance and storage

The data sheet for the Samsung smartphone includes the Snapdragon 680 4G processor, an octa-core Qualcomm-supplied clocked at up to 2.2 GHz. To complete the performance, the Galaxy A23 is equipped with 4 GB of RAM.

The phone offers 128 GB of storage. For consumers looking for more data space, it’s worth mentioning that this model supports microSD cards up to 1 TB.

Galaxy battery

The Galaxy A23 battery has a capacity of 5,000 mAh, which is already quite common in the market. Commit up to two days away from an outlet, depending on usage. The South Korean manufacturer estimates video playback time at 26 hours, internet browsing time at 28 hours, and audio time at 174 hours.

To replace the battery, the phone comes with 15W charging support in the box. However, the smartphone can receive fast charging if it is in the interests of the user. Therefore, chargers up to 25W can be used.

Android system and additional functions

The Galaxy A23 ships with Android 12 running. Google’s system gets screen recording, scrollable screen captures, bubble notifications, and better data protection. Also, there is NFC, which allows for contactless payments.

There are also biometric tools at the bottom of the phone screen, which can be unlocked by fingerprint. Abroad, a version that supports 5G Internet access can be found, but it is not sold in Brazil.
