Summer Games Festival 2022: Check out all the news revealed at the event

Today, at the Summer Game Festival event, some of the latest news to hit the video game market in the near future was revealed.

During the event, there are some important news, but if you are not following the live broadcast, we will list all the most important news here.

Some names are sure to satisfy all tastes.

> Street Fighter 6

It has been officially confirmed that Guile will be the fifth existing fighter in Street Fighter 6. The character, another classic in the Street Fighter game series, will appear in a new version of the iconic title.

The character was introduced in a new trailer, which also revealed one of the new scenes that will appear in the final version.

> Alien: Darksiders

Inspired by the Alien game series, the new Alien: Dark Descent was also confirmed at the event. This one focuses on bringing control of the squad into battles against some of the most dangerous monsters in the universe.

The game will be available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series, with a release scheduled for 2023.

> Callisto Protocol

One of the most anticipated news has also been confirmed: the arrival of the Callisto protocol. From the creators of the critically acclaimed Dead Space, the new game has been confirmed for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series on December 2.

During the event, the first trailer for the game was also announced.

> Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

CoD fans also had some surprises, with the reveal of a new trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The release of the new CoD is set for October 28, and the trailer leaves some details about the same new mission.

> witch fire

From the same creators as Bulletstorm, the new “Witchfire” was confirmed during the event, and it arrives after it was first announced at The Game Awards 2017.

The game will soon be available on the Epic Games Store, and details on a possible release date have yet to be announced.

> General

As part of the new project Raw Fury (Wolfstride), the game “Routine” puts players in the role of characters in a terrifying environment with space-related themes. The game doesn’t yet have a release date, but its first trailer has been left, giving some details about what to expect.

> Fort Solis

With a space theme, Fort Solis is inspired by Dead Space and puts players in the role of a space station that needs to survive in a dark environment.

> Goat Simulator 3

Following the success of the original game, a new version of Goat Simulator 3 is launched, allowing players to act like a goat in the most diverse activities and mini-games in an open world.

The release has been confirmed for the last quarter of 2022 for PC and next-gen consoles.

>Marvel’s Midnight Sun

From the head of XCOM, a new trailer for “Marvel’s Midnight Sun” was revealed during the event, featuring Spider-Man, Venom and several other characters from the Marvel Universe.

The release of the new game is set for October 7th.

> Stormgate

Blizzard has revealed a new game, “Storm’s Gate”, which aims to be a brand new real-time strategy game. The game will be completely free, but there will definitely be in-game purchases. The company confirmed it would reveal more details on June 12, but took advantage of the event to leave the official trailer.

>Zanless Zero

From the creators of Genshin Impact, the new game “Zanless Zone Zero” has received a new trailer showing some of the characters and scenes we will find in the final version, in an urban setting. However, a release date has yet to be announced.

> One Piece

For anime fans, One Piece intends to take a new bet on Eiichiro Oda’s work, placing players on a turn-based JRPG-style platform. The launch is expected to take place later this year.

> Layers of fear

Leveraging Unreal Engine 5 technology, the new layers of fear will continue the saga of the horror game of the same name originally released in 2016. It will launch on PC and next-gen consoles in 2023, but during the event, the first trailer was revealed for the game.

> Cuphead: a delicious final dish

Building on the success of the original title, Cuphead: The Last Delicious Meal intends to continue the platform-based story — and it’s going pretty hard. The release is set for June 30, and a new trailer for the game was released during the event.

> The Last of Us Part 1

Considering the rumors that have surfaced in recent weeks, The Last of Us Part 1 has been confirmed to be coming to PS5 and PC as the “final” version of the saga. The launch is scheduled for September 2, and a new trailer was released during the event.
