On-screen biometric sensors went the wrong way to begin with, but they’ve become a must-have for high-end smartphones. Now, Vivo has revealed some details and features of the state-of-the-art biometric sensor it uses in its flagships like the Vivo X80 Pro. With 11.1 times the reading area and 0.2 second response speed, the biometric reader opens up a whole new era of possibilities.
Its size makes the sensor the world’s largest smartphone biometric sensor. They are 20x30mm, or 11.1 times what we find in normal sensors, such as the buttons on the side.
With advanced pore 3D scanning technology and overall finger appearance, the sensor allows you to capture fingerprints in one pass. The time-consuming process of lifting your finger and then putting it back is over. rise. land. rise. land. It is now part of the past.
In terms of security, this large area also allows us to scan two photos at the same time for even more security when unlocking the phone. We can do it in 0.2 seconds.
More practical and safer technology
Not only is the new biometric sensor faster at enrolling and subsequently reading fingerprints, but its level of resolution and wide area make it more useful in conditions that other biometric readers typically struggle to read.
We’re talking about overly dry, wet or polluted environmental conditions, and the always complicated wet fingers. With this state-of-the-art fingerprint sensor produced by Qualcomm, the Vivo X80 Pro is likely to offer the best unlocking and security experience on a current smartphone.
One-click access to favorite apps
Due to the large area of the sensor, reading a fingerprint is just one of many things it can do. The other is by touching a specific area of the sensor, from the lock screen to our favorite app, accessible with a single tap, which launches almost instantly and in just one step.
Putting two apps in the space reserved for you reduces the usable area of a simple unlocked phone, which is why you can’t get it with other sensors. With the Vivo X80 Pro, we still have room for a fingerprint, and we can disable this quick launch app at any time to take advantage of the sensor’s large scanning area.
You’ll soon be able to get a better look at this advanced sensor on one of this year’s most ambitious smartphones, the Vivo X80 Pro.
